Benoît Desmarchelier is Associate Professor in Economics at the University of Lille. Previ-ously, he was Lecturer in Economics at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. Benoît’s research efforts focus at understanding complex systems dynamics in order to get new insights on the drivers of aggregate economic phenomena (e.g. economic growth, structural change, or the emergence of innovation systems and creative milieu). Benoit has published papers on these topics in top journals, including Journal of Economics Behavior and Organization, Kyklos, Journal of Evolutionary Economics, Technological Forecasting and Social Change.
