For the first time, the RESER council decided to award a prize for the best short paper presented at its annual conference. Many speakers applied for this award.
A jury of five RESER members decided to award the prize to MARCIA C. ROSSI, FARIDAH DJELLAL (University of Lille France) for CYBER SERVICES AS A SERVICE INNOVATION

In their abstract, the researchers explain :
“Despite their growing relevance, the innovation dynamics of cyber services remain underexplored, especially regarding the interplay between digital and physical components (Stoshikj et al., 2016; Klaus, 2021).
This article addresses this gap through three objectives:
a) To analyze the architecture and evolution of cyber services as an emerging category within the service economy;
b) To apply Combinatory Innovation Logic (Djellal & Gallouj, 2005) to map core and peripheral service functions and their
roles in value creation;
c) To identify and categorize innovation logics —
extensive, regressive, intensive, and combinatory (Gallouj, 2002; Davis & Eisenhardt, 2011; Henderson & Clark, 1990) — and examine their inter-dependencies in digital ecosystems.
Key words : cyber services, service innovation, combinatory logic, architectural
services, core and peripheral functions.
