the RESER-Elgar Encyclopedia of Service Studies will be published by Edward Elgar ( London). The entries of the Encyclopedia will seek to provide quite short accessible introductions to main topics in the field of service studies addressed from various perspectives (socio-economics, history of economic thought, geography and management science, psychology, political science, etc.). They should describe, define, synthesize, and review a topic; they are not intended to showcase original theoretical or empirical research findings, as would a journal article or a chapter in a handbook. The Encyclopedia will be published both in hard copy and online.
This project is supported by the European Research Association on Services (RESER). The editorial team includes Faïz Gallouj (as editor-in-chief), Camal Gallouj, the current RESER chairman, Markus Scheuer, and two of the previous RESER presidents: Marie-Christine Monnoyer and Luis Rubalcaba.
Up to now, 150 researchers have accepted to participate in this challenge. They come from Europe, the United States, Brazil, Japan, Mexico, Canada
