Virpi Kaartti (M.Sc.Econ.) is Head of the Master Degree Program in Service Innovation and Design at Laurea University of Applied Sciences in Finland. Besides teaching and leading the Master's degree program, she works in the R&D projects. One of the latest projects being Finnish Design Academy (FDA). FDA is a collaboration network of the Finnish university level design schools aiming to develop design education to better answer to the changing needs of the working life.

Currently doing her PhD in the University of Johannesburg, the topic being “Adopting service design approach in financial organisations”. My proposal to the Paris conference is related to it. I am aiming to finalize my PhD in 2023.
