WHO IS REDLAS?

The Latin American and Caribbean Network on Services Research (REDLAS) is a new network of research groups and individuals active in services research and policy formulation, mainly located in Latin America and Caribbean. REDLAS members come from diverse disciplinary backgrounds: economics, management sciences, geography, sociology, psychology, political sciences and planning. Most are based in universities and research institutes in the region, but some are employed in government or the private sector. REDLAS had its first meeting, combined with the first Brazilian Symposium on Services Science, in Brasilia from 17-19 November 2010 with over 70 participants and 90 papers presented.

Redlas and Reser collaboration

Before the creation of Redlas, some latin american researchers were in contact with Reser (participation at the annual reser conference, PHD students in co-tutels .. It was a pleasure for RESER to answer in a positive way to suport this new association.

The first meeting at the conference organized by Brazilia University in 2010 and the second one at the conference managed by Eclac and Cepal in Santiago (Chile) in october 2012 were the occasion to consolidate the links between the researchers. It has been decided that a member of the Reser council will be involved in Redlas council. Maria Savonna , as a council member is in charge of this relationship.
