Pedro Costa, Auxiliary Professor, Dinâmia'CET, ISCTE - Instituto Superior de Ciências do Trabalho e da Empresa
DINÂMIA'CET, Research Centre on Socioeconomic Change, is a research centre associated to ISCTE (Universitary Institute for Labour and Business Studies). Founded in 1989, the Centre’s research staff (between 40 and 50 people) is mostly composed of university lecturers specialised in economics, sociology, social psychology, law and applied mathematics.
To this day, DINÂMIA has developed more than a hundred fundamental, applied and public policy evaluation research projects, which evidence our methodological option for a pluridisciplinary approach; this has also contributed to the accumulation of a significant knowledge capital, mostly in the domains of labour (labour market and employment policies), innovation (productive specialization dynamics, technological change and innovation policies) and territory (regional dynamics, territorial competitiveness and regional and local development policies).
DINÂMIA´s members also have interests in areas such as: methodologies of diagnosis, prospective analysis and evaluation of public policies; social sciences methodology and application of computational simulation methods to social sciences; environment and natural resources; social studies of science and technology; macroeconomics and financial markets.
Pedro Costa develops his work at Dinâmia within the thematic research area “Territory”:
